An arcade-style cosmic dodge-'n'-blast frenzy where chaos is only a score away.

Welcome to Shock!, a high-speed, pixel-pure arcade shooter where every move, every bullet, and every point pushes you closer to overwhelming power — or total annihilation. Dodge deadly asteroids, collect mysterious power-ups, and brace yourself every 50 points for SHOCKED MODE, where the real madness begins.

🎮 Gameplay Features

  • 🚀 Slick, responsive movement – so responsive and smooth that you wrap across the screen!

  • ☄️ Dynamic asteroid rain – the longer you survive, the more chaos rains from above.

  • ⚡ Shocked! Mode – every 50 points, transform into a bigger, stronger, invincible ship... for a few seconds.

  • 💥 Epic power-ups

    • Nimble – shrink your ship for precision dodging

    • Multishot – fire tons of bullets

    • Olivine - bullets find and hunt asteroids at the speed of light

  • 🏆 High-score system – chase your best score and beat your personal limits.

  • 🌌 Stylized visuals & background – smooth effects, satisfying sound design, and a retro-futuristic vibe.

QOL

  • Increased Mobile Control size after feedback recieved
  • Changed shoot control from SPACE to W for one-handed gameplay

GAMEPLAY

  • Changed asteroid spawning speed by a little to make game easier
  • A BUMP! text now appears when asteroid speed increases.

GRAPHICS

  • New asteroid destroy particle effect
  • Powerup 'Hints' now shine on top right
  • Menu has a particle effect
  • Teaser text on gameover buttons

BUGS FIXED:

  • Minor bugfixes

Install instructions

📥 Download & Install Instructions

Choose your platform below and follow the quick steps to start playing Shock!:

🪟 Windows (Installer)

  1. Download the .exe file.

  2. Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. If a warning shows up, click More Details > Run anyway. To remove this warning, it requires a certificate that is extremely expensive and I cannot afford it.

  3. After installation, launch Shock! from your desktop or Start menu.

  4. (Optional) Allow the game through Windows Defender if prompted — it's safe!

🐧 Linux (AppImage)

  1. Download the .AppImage file.

  2. Right-click → Properties → Permissions → check “Allow executing file as program.”

  3. Double-click the file to launch the game.

  4. No installation required — it's fully portable!

💡 Works on most modern Linux distros (Ubuntu, Fedora, Arch, etc.)

🤖 Android (APK)

  1. Download the .apk file to your Android device.

  2. If prompted, allow installation from unknown sources:

    • Settings > Security > Enable Unknown Sources

  3. Tap the APK file and install.

  4. Find Shock! in your app drawer and enjoy!

⚠️ Some Android versions may warn you about installing APKs manually. It’s safe to proceed if you downloaded from here!
